Meghan was thrilled to receive a commission from Green Thumb theatre, a multiple award-winning theatre company in Vancouver, to create an adaptation of Dissolve for younger audiences. Out of this assignment, Blind Spot was born, a three character play for high school students of all ages, not only tackling the issue of drug facilitated sexual assault, but many more pressing issues facing the youth of today. Here's what Green Thumb theatre has to say:

BLIND SPOT

A new commission based on Meghan's popular one woman show, this new play explores the issue from both his and her perspectives. An astounding number of men and boys seem to think that drugs and alcohol are an acceptable way of "loosening up" women, that if a female is intoxicated she becomes "fair game." This production looks at the pressure that teens face to become sexually active. It asks both girls and boys to examine the responsibilities that they have to each other's well being and to think more deeply about the consequences of their actions.
